Lenses for Ortho-K
E & E Optics (USA AND HK) are proud to have obtained authorization from both BAUSCH + LOMB (Boston XO and Boston Equalens ll) and Paragon Vision Sciences (Paragon HDS and HDS-100) to manufacture FDA-approved Contact lenses. We are exporting these approved products all around the world.
For practitioners who feel interested in incorporating Ortho-K into their practices, please contact us for further information.
Ortho-K Lens is a specially designed contact lens made by advanced Computer Driven Lathe from Gas Permeable materials. Ortho-K is a procedure to reversibly change the shape of the cornea, and thus reduce myopia to functional vision.
The Ortho-K lenses from E & E Optics are breakthrough designs, which are dramatically different from all the previous generations of Ortho-K designs. Our lenses are made of several different reverse curves. One lens might consist of five or more different curves. The patients might need to wear the lenses for 8-10 hours and will then have a functional vision for the rest of the day.
The relevant FDA certificate states “reduction of up to 3.00 Diopters of Myopia” as part of the description of our Ortho-K lenses. We however have been informed by eye care professionals that “it is not uncommon for patients with Myopia up to -5.00D that the first lens is the final lens.”
