We are the sole manufacturers and suppliers of the following Orthokeratology (Ortho-K) lenses:
The Ortho-K Lens is a specially designed contact lens made by advanced computer-driven lathe technology from gas permeable materials, and is a procedure to reversibly change the shape of the cornea, and thus reduce myopia to functional vision.
The Ortho-K lenses from E & E Optics are breakthrough designs, which are dramatically different from all the previous generations of Ortho-K designs. Our lenses are made of several different reverse curves. One lens might consist of 5+ different curves. The patients might need to wear the lenses for 8-10 hours and will then have a functional vision for the rest of the day. The relevant FDA certificate states “reduction of up to 3.00 Diopters of Myopia” as part of the description of our Ortho-K lenses. We however have been informed by eye care professionals that “ it is not uncommon for patients with Myopia up to -5.00D that the first lens is the final lens.”
